We start with

health.

Not art.

Cayr (pronounced "care") is a public health charity working with communities across the UK.

Our programmes are designed around public health priorities, reducing inequalities, improving wellbeing, supporting people with long-term conditions. The creative methods are the how, not the why.

OUR APPROACH

Health inequalities are the problem. Arts and culture are the tool.

We work with communities facing some of the highest levels of health inequality in the country. We use arts, culture and heritage not because they're nice, but because the evidence shows they work. Creative participation reduces isolation, improves mental health, builds community resilience, and supports people through serious illness.

Support our work

Projects are only possible because of donations. As a small charity, every contribution helps us deliver creative health programmes to people who need them most.
