Why volunteer with Cayr?

We're a small charity doing work that matters. Your time makes a real difference, whether you're supporting people at our Dementia Café, contributing to research, or helping shape our future as a trustee.

Volunteering with us means being part of something that combines creativity, health, and community. You'll meet interesting people, learn new skills, and help us reach more communities across the UK.

Trustees

Status: Not currently recruiting, but register your interest

We're building our board of trustees as we grow. Trustees help shape our strategy, ensure good governance, and bring their expertise to support our mission.

While we're not currently recruiting, we're always interested in hearing from people who might want to join us in the future. We're particularly interested in trustees with lived experience of the communities we serve.

What trustees do:

  • Attend quarterly board meetings (usually online)

  • Provide strategic guidance and expertise

  • Support fundraising and networking

  • Ensure we're meeting our charitable objectives

What we look for in trustees: We need a mix of skills and experience across our board. This might include fundraising, finance, legal, public health, arts sector knowledge, or lived experience of health inequalities.

Interested for the future? Email admin@cayrcharity.org.uk with "Trustee Interest" in the subject line and tell us a bit about yourself and what you'd bring to the role.
