A big thank you to our newest funders
We've had some brilliant news to share. Over the past few months, Cayr has been awarded four grants that will help us keep Naturehood and Pink Stitch running and growing. We wanted to take a moment to say thank you properly, because none of this work happens without funders willing to back it.
For Naturehood
Naturehood gives young people in Westminster the chance to connect with nature, creativity and each other, and this round of funding has come from three fantastic organisations.
Children in Need has awarded us a grant that will help us keep building the programme for the children and young people who take part. Young Westminster Foundation has also come on board to support the work we do locally, which means a huge amount given how closely their mission matches ours in the borough. And we've been awarded a grant from the Michael Marks Charitable Trust, which we're delighted about as it recognises the value of creative, nature-based work for young people.
You can read more about the programme on our Naturehood page.
For Pink Stitch
Pink Stitch, our textile and creative programme supporting people affected by cancer, has also had wonderful news. Macmillan Cancer Support has awarded us a grant to help us continue offering this space to more people.
Anyone who has spent time with the Pink Stitch group knows what it means, not just as a creative outlet but as a place of connection and support. Have a look at the Pink Stitch page to find out more about the programme.

"Every grant we receive is a vote of confidence in the people who take part in our programmes, not just in Cayr. These four awards, coming so close together, tell us that funders see the value in creative and community-led approaches to health and wellbeing. We're hugely grateful to Children in Need, Young Westminster Foundation, the Michael Marks Charitable Trust and Macmillan Cancer Support for backing this work." - Hannah Thomas, CEO
Grants like these are vital, but they only ever fund part of what we do. If you'd like to help us reach more people through Naturehood, Pink Stitch, or any of our other programmes, you can donate to Cayr here.
Thank you again to all four funders, and to everyone who continues to support Cayr's work.
