Our Four Pillars
Our Creative Health Programmes are divided into four pillars: Environment & Wellbeing, Dementia Care, Cancer Arts & Oral History and Memory.
Oral History & Memory
We help communities record and remember their own stories, turning memory and heritage into something that brings people together across generations. Calverton Calling, our community oral history project in Calverton, Nottinghamshire, brought this to life through a custom made telephone box, holding a community archive.
Dementia Care
We use creativity to support people living with moderate and early dementia, building connection and moments of joy into everyday life. In our monthly Dementia Cafe in Harbourne and Quinton we encourage people to meet and enjoy creative activities.
Environment & Wellbeing
We connect young people in urban areas with nature and the outdoors, using creative and ecological practice to build wellbeing and a sense of belonging in the places they live. This includes A Common London Story (2025), which explored community life in Westminster's Church Street through the eyes of young people, and Naturehood (2026), which continues that work along the Church Street corridor and the Grand Union Canal.
Cancer Arts
We work with people affected by breats cancer, using textile art and storytelling to process experience and open up conversations that are often hard to start. This began with Pink Stitch (2025), our participatory textile arts programme with women living with and beyond breast cancer, and continues through Pink Stitch: The Community Quilt (2026) and Words of Cayr (2026), carrying that same spirit of creativity and storytelling forward.
